Life at Headwaters | Looking Back On Our Summertime Fun

Scenic views, award-winning amenities, innovative homes, neighbors who are practically family – there’s a whole lot to love about Headwaters, a new home community in Dripping Springs, Texas. But one of the most unique parts that you won’t find anywhere else is the year-round lifestyle programming planned by our very own Lifestyle Director, Remi Almani!

Remi plans a full calendar of events year-round, but summer is one of the best times of the year to be a Headwaters resident with all of the fun activities going on. It’s the season of adventure after all, and this year our residents had plenty to take part in!

Treats and Beats

To kick off the summer, Remi went all-out with the Treats and Beats event! There was a DJ spinning tunes, yard and board games and all the cotton candy you could dream of!

Stars and S’mores

What’s better than s’mores in the summer? S’mores and stargazing, of course! At this event, residents enjoyed the sweet treat along with live music and stargazing – there was even a professional astronomer there to guide them through the stars!

Mad Science Dry Ice Show

Our youngest residents got this event all to themselves! The Mad Science group came prepared with exciting experiments that not only put on a great show, but helped kids learn about the states of water.

Wine Time

Headwaters residents were invited to a private event at Solaro Estate Winery. Residents got to enjoy exclusive use of the winery patio, live music and half-price charcuterie boards!

Movies on the Lawn

This one is always a favorite! Residents get to vote on which family-friendly movie they want to watch, and then everyone gets together to enjoy the screening on the lawn.

Food Truck Nights

While this happens year-round, there’s something special about eating from a food truck during the summer! Every Wednesday night, and on the second Saturday of every month, a new food truck visits HW Central so residents can easily grab a bite to eat.

Freedom Fest

This year residents got all decked out in red, white and blue to celebrate Independence Day! A DJ, hot dogs, snow cones, a balloon artist and visit from Hays County Fire Department made it one festive event. Captain America was even there!

Back to School Bash

To wrap up the fun-filled summer, Remi put together a grab-and-go event to help kids get ready to go back to school. They were able to meet up at the HUB to pick up their back-to-school bag with supplies, take pictures with a photo-opt sign and meet some new friends.
