Dripping Springs, located just outside Austin, is a foodie’s paradise. There are so many local gems that all of the choices can almost feel overwhelming. Even within just a short drive from Headwaters, there are tons of mouth-watering restaurants with great food. But there are a few tried-and-true Dripping Springs restaurants that locals return to again and again for the flavorful dishes and unparalleled ambiance. Make sure to stop by and grab a bite to show support for these hill country favorites so we make sure they stick around.

1. Rolling in Thyme and Dough

   Rolling in Thyme and Dough is a classic café with Hill Country favorites. Pop by for a savory breakfast croissant, or order one of their famous pies or cakes for a special occasion – they even have gluten-free options! Right now they have limited indoor seating, but you can always dine outside or call ahead for a curbside pickup.

2. Homespun Kitchen and Bar

   Homespun Kitchen and Bar isn’t a normal restaurant. Focusing on farm-to-table dining, their dishes have American and European influences and some of the freshest seasonal produce you can imagine. And with 300+ whiskey options at the bar, you’ll want to come back again and again to try them all.

3. Pieous

   Pizza, anyone? Pieous is just the place to go when you’re craving hand-tossed perfection. But that’s not all – you’ll absolutely want to try the pastrami, or any of the fresh-baked pastries. Though you can’t currently dine in, you can order their full menu online for take out to enjoy at home.

4. Tillie’s

   For an upscale dining experience, head on over to Tillie’s. They are open for brunch, lunch and dinner, so you can satisfy your cravings for French toast and mimosas or steak and wine all at the same place. You can dine in but capacity is limited and reservations are highly recommended, so make sure to call ahead.

5. Flores Mexican Restaurant

   This authentic Tex/Mex restaurant features recipes from the Flores family with deliciously fresh tortillas prepared and served in the restaurant every day. Cheese lovers will want to check out this restaurant as they serve chili con queso, queso complete, and queso flameado! Flores offers catering and even a VIP club where you can earn loyalty rewards.
