Meet Dani Derner: Headwaters’ New Lifestyle Director
Part of what makes life at Headwaters so much fun is the year-round calendar of events and activities just for residents. Dani Derner has experienced this first-hand as a Headwaters resident. She loved the events and lifestyle at Headwaters so much that she’s now officially our Lifestyle Director! As the Lifestyle Director, she’s in charge of planning the events and social clubs that make this new home community so special.
Dani grew up in south Austin, so she’s very familiar with the area and what makes it such a great place to call home. After realizing she needed more space for her growing family, she decided to relocate to Dripping Springs and build a home in Headwaters.
“While we were building, I would receive the weekly emails of events and would even attend some of the events,” she said. “I have never seen a neighborhood that is so invested in wanting its residents to be more than just houses, they truly want a community that gathers and knows each other! When I learned that the role for Lifestyle Director was vacant, I had to seize the opportunity to be part of what makes this community so special.”
Dani is thrilled to be part of the Headwaters family. She can’t wait to take advantage of Headwaters’ award-winning amenities to plan events that will bring residents even closer. She’s also a fitness guru, and loves spending time running on the trails. “A long-term goal I have is to create a consistent Headwaters Fitness Lifestyle program with more group fitness classes on the monthly calendar,” she explained. But that’s just the beginning of her plans.
“I am planning an event to honor the moms of the community in the month of May! I think it is going to be a hit,” she said. “For the summer, I am planning to do a summer concert series in the park and hoping to pair up with some local musicians and yummy food vendors,” she continued. Residents can also expect to see events like holiday parties, food truck nights and kids’ crafting events.
Dani wants to make sure every resident feels welcome, including future residents. “There is place for everybody here, young couples, families or seniors,” she said. “Welcome home to a place that truly feels like home!”
