Meet Vanessa Hayes: Headwaters’ New Lifestyle Director
Beyond the scenic views and one-of-a-kind amenities, what makes Headwaters truly unique are the year-round signature events, clubs and activities. We’re excited to announce Vanessa Hayes is paving the way for even more unique experiences here at Headwaters.
A Texas native, Vanessa grew up in the New Braunfels area and has lived up and down the I35 corridor. She loves small-town charms with easy access to Austin which has her feel right at home at Headwaters in Dripping Springs. When Vanessa is not at Headwaters you’ll find her cooking for friends and family or volunteering in the community, “I love to cook and bake for friends and family! My dad was a Chef from Louisiana so I grew up loving food and learning about different styles of cooking. I fell in love with it! Bring on the crawfish boils and Zydeco Music! My heart is happy when I am volunteering in the community or doing something that gives back. I’ve found it strengthens family ties and provides more ways to share values – stay tuned for new opportunities for the families of Headwaters to give back to the community!”
One way to support our community is to shop local. Vanessa and her husband run a small farm in New Braunfels where they raise chickens, ducks and goats. She’s passionate about educating the community where your food comes from, “My goal is to share the benefits of true farm fresh! I look forward to bringing that lifestyle into Headwaters with local vendors who can speak to living that healthy lifestyle and providing it to our residents.”
We asked Vanessa what she’s most excited about as she starts her new role Headwaters, “I am thrilled to be in this role as the director of ‘fun, fitness and lifestyle’ I look forward to bringing in all sorts of different activities and really focus on every group of interests! I plan to expand on the elevated lifestyle options residents have right here at home.”
Here’s a glimpse of the new, unique activities Vanessa has on the horizon at Headwaters, “I am planning a fitness series that focuses on our 55+ active adults as well as our teens. To support local business owners, I’m seeking out resources to help our residents showcase the businesses we have right here in Headwaters. Live music, good food and a cold drink seems to be a popular request here in the community – I plan to provide more of that to life here at HW Central. Get ready for summer camps for the kids, teen takeovers at the pool and so much more excitement! And we can’t forget our furry family members… a Pet Fest is in the works. While lots of ideas are brewing, listening and incorporating what the residents want is my ultimate goal!”
